The eyes have it, especially when so many of us are protecting half of our faces with masks these days. That's why a good eye makeup look is all the more important.
To make sure you get the best products to make your eyes get the attention they deserve, we asked Aman of @coffeewithaman about what she uses to keep her look on point. If you're looking for a good eyeshadow pallette, eyeliner, eyelash curler, and more, look no further!
I love using eye primer before my shadow to help lock in the color and pigment. It also helps from creasing throughout the day leaving the eyeshadow looking great for several hours.
Eye primer is such a great first step in your eye look because it helps make the eyeshadow pigment pop and blend out nicely so it all looks great together. I love the applicator on this as well! It helps evenly distribute the primer and the formula is nice and blends out without being too heavy on the eyelid.
Concealer is a huge step in my routine. I suffer from dark circles, so this is something I must have. This concealer is great, easy to blend, and stays put all day long.
It can also act as a spot conceal for other parts of your face as well. I recommend getting one shade lighter than your skin tone if you have dark circles such as me! This particular line has 18 inclusive shades, so you can take your pick.
I love a good mascara primer! This helps lift and separate the lashes before applying the mascara. It also conditions the lashes, giving them a little bit of protection. This is a white primer, so it helps make black mascara look even blacker, which I prefer.
This step is not necessary in your makeup routine, but I feel it gives the lashes a little bit of extra razzle especially if you're not planning to wear fake lashes on top. It works for top and bottom lashes as well, so you can have great lashes for both.
This is my favorite drugstore mascara! It's very, very black with a great brush applicator. It separates the lashes and gives them a great fluff. It is also very affordable, which is great considering that you should be replacing your mascara every three months.
This mascara is great to layer and works wonderfully for both top and bottom lashes. This works great on top of the primer I recommended, and both of them together leave the lashes looking so fluffy and long.
This is a great mascara option for everyone, and the packaging is super sleek, so you can just throw it in your bag for touch ups later.
I feel that eye cream is especially important these days since your eyes are the main thing on your face that people see due to our face mask wear.
This eye cream helps plump up the under eyes and hydrate them so that when you apply concealer on top, it goes on smoother and does not crease as much.
Dry under eyes are no one's favorite, and helping hydrate them before applying anything on top is the key to success. This contains hyaluronic acid, which is a great ingredient to combat dry under eyes and plump them up to look great!
My favorite eyeshadows are warm-colored, and I think this palette offers a great variety of shades with different finishes. I love the mattes, and they blend so well together. The shimmers are very beautiful as well.
It's nice to add a pop of shimmer to the center and also the inner corner for a nice touch to a simple eye. Since everyone is wearing masks, I think it's okay to go a bit dramatic with your eyeshadow every once in a while! This palette offers several shades for all kinds of looks.
This is one of the best eyelash curlers I have tried, and I have tried several over the years. This really helps curl the lashes well and keeps them curled all day long. It also comes with a replacement cushion for when the first one gets worn out.
The handle is easy to use, and the curler comes in this sleek matte black design with a pop of red for the cushion. It is very affordable and lasts a long time with proper care. I really enjoy using this and have repurchased it myself several times!
False lashes are a great way to make any look subtly or a bit more dramatic. I love adding lashes for any occasion! These Ardell lashes are great quality and look so natural yet dramatic.
They feel light on the eyes and can be used several times with proper care. I always curl my fake lashes and my real lashes together to help blend them together to look more natural and beautiful. You can wear these on their own or with only eyeliner for a simple everyday look.
I love using a pencil liner for my waterline. These come in several colors that are fun to use every once in a while if you want to keep a simple look but add a pop of color. Black is my go-to; it lasts a long time and is easy to reapply when needed.
I love this NYX liner because it does not require a pencil sharpener and you can just twist it up when you need to. It glides on easily and can be used for the top lash line as well. You can even blend it out for a cute, smokey eye look.
I wear liner almost every single day, and I typically prefer liquid liner for my top lash line. This one is very, very black, which I love! It also has a great applicator to help you apply the liner easily and efficiently.
I love the ease this liner has, and creating a wing is easy. Wings can give any eye look an extra flare to look great. Some days, I will just do liner and lashes, and that's it! So, having a good liner is all that much more important.
I think taking a little extra time each day for your eye looks is a great way to make up for the fact that we have to wear masks and can't really show a full face of makeup anymore.
Giving the eyes a little extra love during this time is a great way to make up for that, and knowing you can be dramatic with your eye look or even natural and still feel beautiful is great.
