When choosing a pressure washer soap, there are a couple of factors to keep in mind, including its formula and the surfaces it works with. For more information, continue reading!
It may seem that all pressure washer soaps loosen dirt from surfaces in the same way. However, some products are formulated to tackle certain kinds of dirt. They might also work better for certain kinds of surfaces than the others.
Soaps designed specifically for vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and motorcycles, should work on all kinds of plastic and metal surfaces. Also, they might be formulated with wax to remove water spots and leave your vehicle looking shiny. The wax also adds a layer that protects your car from environmental aggressors, like pollution.
Pressure washer soaps formulated for houses and decks should work for vinyl, wood, brick, vinyl, and aluminum surfaces. They should be able to remove stains and dirt on concrete driveways and paths, too!
When in doubt, choose a multi-purpose cleaner. It is mild and should work for all kinds of surfaces, including wood, plastic, and metal. However, it might not be strong enough for tough stains.
So, if your budget allows, try to buy a specialized soap since that's formulated for a certain surface. But if you're looking for a versatile soap, then a multi-purpose formula should do the trick!
A concentrated soap is usually more economical than ready-to-use soap. It's also a better choice for heavy-duty cleaning since you can adjust the water and concentrate ratio yourself. For light dirt, add more water. When you're dealing with heavy soil, use a bit more of the concentrate.
However, if you just need soap for general cleaning, a ready-to-use formula will suffice. But for tough stains, you might have to use more soap and actually scrub the stains from the surface.
If you're concerned about the environment, you might want to invest in a biodegradable product. These can also offer more benefits than traditional soaps! Usually, a biodegradable soap breaks down easily and is less likely to leave behind residue. It tends to be gentler on your skin as well.
On the other hand, a chemical soap might leave a soapy mess on your lawn and harm your plants, grass, and soil. It's highly effective, though. So if you're looking for a product that can drive away tough stains, a chemical soap is the better choice.
You might want to look for a pH-balanced formula as well. General soaps might strip off your car's protective coating. So if you can't get a soap specifically designed for vehicles, make sure the formula is pH-balanced. It won't leave acidic residue on your vehicle and is less likely to damage the sealant.
