Top 10 Best Japanese Face Wash Nets to Buy Online 2020 - Tried and True!

Face wash nets are neat little tools for getting the most out of a small amount of face wash, but not all nets are created equally. That's why we gathered our editing staff to purchase the 10 most popular face wash nets on Japanese e-commerce sites like Amazon, Rakuten, and Kakaku.com. Then we tested each one for the following:

  1. How dense the resulting foam was
  2. How fine the bubbles were
  3. How easy it was to use

We then compiled everything we learned into a buying guide about and list of the best Japanese face wash nets available online.

Products That Didn't Make the Cut

And why they didn't quite make it.

Products That Didn't Make the Cut

Oriental Plants Foaming Net had a good amount of bubbles, but we definitely could have used more. We were also a bit unsure about the rubber ring; some may prefer it for its anti-slip grip, but others may balk at the texture.

Products That Didn't Make the Cut

Nihon Kogyo's Gin Foaming Face Wash Net, on the other hand, created a dense yet delicate foam that passed two of our tests. But since it's so bulky, it's hard to get all of that delicious foam out.

Products That Didn't Make the Cut

KQ Series Foaming Face Wash Net was the opposite; it was too flimsy and thin to give us the amount of lather we were looking for. If you have a lot of time on your hands, though, you should be able to work up a good foam.

Products That Didn't Make the Cut

We have a lot to say about the lowest-ranked product, Tintaunita 4-layer Organdy Foaming Net. It created delicate bubbles, but they were slightly gray in color. We also had problems with its small size and the fact that our fingers got stuck in the attached ribbon.

How We Tested the Face Wash Nets

We put each of the face wash nets through a series of three tests to gauge their effectiveness. Two tests measured the density and fineness of the foam while the last judged how easy it was to use.

Test ① Foam Density

Test ① Foam Density

To measure foam density, we used 2 grams of a Biore face wash and used the net to create bubbles for 30 seconds. We added water a couple of times after initially wetting the net. We used exact measurements for the bubble forming devices.

Test ① Foam Density

awa hour precious used its mechanical up-and-down motions to create the densest foam in our ranking. If you want to make a really thick foam in the comfort of your home in a short amount of time, a bubble former may be a better option than a net.

Test ② Bubble Delicacy

Test ② Bubble Delicacy

We zoomed in really closely to the foam we created using each device in order to judge the fineness of the bubbles.

Test ② Bubble Delicacy

Our observations revealed that bubble forming devices create the most delicate bubbles. awa hour took the cake; even when we zoomed way in, we couldn't see any large bubbles!

In case you're wondering why we care about the fineness of the foam, it's because a fine foam is more likely to penetrate and cleanse excess dirt and oil from your pores.

Test ③ Ease of Use

Test ③ Ease of Use

Finally, we tested each product for their level of convenience. Face washing is an everyday activity, so you don't want everyday to be a struggle.

You can read our reviews to see how easy each product was to use, but a big tip-off is whether or not they have a ring, their shape, and their size.

Test ③ Ease of Use

Large nets like Bulk Homme's The Bubble Net made foam appear fast and thick. It has a ribbon, but it's easy enough for us to put our fingers through even when wet.

How to Choose a Face Wash Net - Buying Guide

Here are two big things to look out for.

① Choose a Net That Produces Foam with Minimal Time and Effort

We found that these two kinds of face wash nets produce a ton of bubbles quickly.

Nets with a Large Surface Area or Layers Will Produce a Luscious Lather

Nets with a Large Surface Area or Layers Will Produce a Luscious Lather

If you're working with a small net, there won't be enough space for the water, air, and soap to combine effectively and produce a rich foam. There are also small nets that won't be able to hold bar soap.

The key to making a speedy lather is in a net that has a large surface area or many layers. If you use bar soap to wash your face, you'll want an especially large one to get as much aeration as possible.

The Finer the Mesh, the Greater the Foam

The Finer the Mesh, the Greater the Foam

The fineness of the net is just as important as its size; a net with smaller holes will produce more bubbles than one with larger holes, even if they're particularly rough in texture.

② Find a Net That's Easy to Handle and Store

Looking for a net with one or all three of these qualities will make your face washing experience so much easier.

Nets with a Ring are Easy to Use and Store

Nets with a Ring are Easy to Use and Store

Most nets will come with an attached ring or ribbon, which can greatly aid you in hanging them up for drying and storage. A ring in particular gives you something solid to hold on to while wringing out the foam.

Ribbons aren't totally off the table, but it's hard to get your finger through some of them; look for a ring when possible.

You Can Use Bubble Formers for More Than Just Face Wash

You Can Use Bubble Formers for More Than Just Face Wash

Bubble formers may have been created with face wash in mind, but you can also use them to make a creamy foam out of body soap or your own shaving cream

These devices are a bit more expensive than nets and take extra effort to clean and dry, but if you're going to get a lot of use out of it, the price tag is worth it.

Antibacterial Nets are Hygienic to Use and Store

Antibacterial Nets are Hygienic to Use and Store

Some face wash nets come with antibacterial properties that can fight various kinds of bacteria living on your face, including ones that cause acne

But just because it's antibacterial doesn't mean you should skimp on proper cleansing and storage; make it last!

How to Get the Most out of Your Face Wash Net

Even if you purchase the best face wash net out there, you won't get the results you're looking for if you're not using it properly. Here are some tips on how to get the most out of your valuable products.

Start with a Bit of Water and Work That Net

Start with a Bit of Water and Work That Net

To get a really creamy foam, you need the proper balance of water; too much will make the foam fall apart. You should start with just a bit of water and gradually add more until you achieve your desired froth.

You should also be moving the net a lot to aerate the foam properly. If you're using small and gentle notions, the bubbles will pop before a nice foam is formed.

Squeeze out All of That Foam

Squeeze out All of That Foam

When you've worked up a good lather, grab one end (or the attached ring or ribbon) with one hand and squeeze out all of the foam from top to bottom. This will make the resulting foam firm and bouncy.

Tips on Proper Face Wash Net Storage

You won't be able to use your net for long if it's not stored properly, even if you've purchased an antibacterial net. Here's how to store your net properly and hygienically.

Dry with a Towel and Keep it in a Ventilated Area

Dry with a Towel and Keep it in a Ventilated Area

Take a couple of extra steps to dry your face wash net by using a towel and then hanging it somewhere with good ventilation. Make sure that isn't your bathroom, which is hot and humid.

Should you skimp on net care, you'll invite bacteria that will attach itself to your face wash and pose a danger to your skin. When you consider that, it's worth the extra effort.

Change Your Face Wash Net Every Couple of Months for Maximum Hygiene

Change Your Face Wash Net Every Couple of Months for Maximum Hygiene

Though your net doesn't directly touch your face, bacteria that travels to your skin via foam created on the face wash net can cause skin troubles. Though it costs a bit of extra money to stay hygienic, we recommend replacing your net every two or three months.

You've Got the Net, but What about the Face Wash?

You've Got the Net, but What about the Face Wash?

Now that you've purchased your perfect face wash net, you need an equally perfect face wash to use it with. Luckily, we have plenty of suggestions.

Summary

mybest looked at 10 of the most popular face wash nets available online. We found that the best of the best nets have a large surface area with a fine net that can work up a great lather. Remember that proper storage and use is key to getting the most out of your product; good luck in your search!

Top 10 Best Japanese Hair Dyes to Buy Online 2020 - Tried and True!
Let’s get this straight–there’s no such thing as a “best” hair dye. Strictly speaking. Just like there’s no such thing as a “best” concealer or “best” mattress or “best” jacket because it all comes down to you. What kind of skin do you have? What kind of sleeping posture? Do you get cold easily? This time around, we ordered the 10 most popular hair dyes found in Japanese drugstores and on Japan’s e-commerce sites and compared the following:1. How vivid the color was2. How gentle on hair the dye was3. How long the color lastedHowever, we want you to keep in mind that the Japanese hair dyes we introduce were formulated with Japanese (naturally black, bleached Asian) hair in mind and are most effective on hair of a similar quality. If you’ve hair like that, great–you’ll probably find that it works better than your average box of CVS/Walgreens stuff. If not, though, results may be a bit unexpected.

We might not be able to prevent aging altogether, but we can still age gracefully. That feels like the consensus here in Japan, where anti-aging skincare is popular and constantly evolving.
